Links To My Other Websites

I have many sites that display my photography.

Here are some of my other websites:

Several guests to my website have asked how they can find this herd of wild horses.  Here is a link to download a map of the watering holes used by the Onaqui Herd of wild horses.

If you decide to visit the herd please leave your dog at home.  Also, a reminder that you are on BLM land and all vehicles must stay on existing dirt roads (no off-road vehicle travel).

Here is another link to a PDF of a brochure about the Onaqui herd.  (this is a large file and will take some time to download)

Here is a link to an PDF article I wrote that details the Onaqui herd and how to get there.

I came across this excellent e-book about photographing equines.  It is incredibly informative and insightful!  Here is the link:  https://phototipsgalore.com/horse-photography/

  1. Hi Greig,

Your images are gorgeous! It is obvious in looking at your collection how much you enjoy and love being among the wild horses. I live in Albuquerque and have only been to photograph the Onaqui herd once, on June 16, 2015 to be precise. I was with my husband and together we managed to find the horses and take some photos, although it was our first time doing anything like that. That day, we spoke to a couple of photographers who were also there, who had experience shooting the herd. I’m wondering if one of them was you? I have a couple of images that look like the exact same foals at about the same age/time as some of your images. See here:

This leads me to ask if either of these chaps are you by chance:

But the real reason I’m writing is to ask if the herd is still there (and hasn’t been rounded up). I will be in SLC next week on my own, and thought about driving over to see if I could find the horses again. I have seen the map of the various watering holes that you so kindly provided a link to (thank you). Is there any way to tell where they might be, say, next Tuesday or Wednesday? I don’t mean specifically where as I know they wander and there’s no telling exactly where they’d be in advance… but is there a *general area* that they happen to be favoring lately? If there’s no way of knowing, I guess I just drive all over those roads looking for them. Anyway, thanks for any update on the horses you can provide. And curious to know if you were one of the photogs there the day we were.

    Thanks,
    Rozanne
