    • JC,
Please feel free to use my photographs for your painting. I would be honored if you sent me a photograph of your result.

      Sincerely,

    • Lisa,

We are very lucky to have several herds of wild horses in Utah. The Onaqui are the most photographed and approachable. The Cedar Mountain Herd is very “skitish” and difficult to find. The ones near Delta are also harder to find. The Onaqui are about 2hrs from Salt Lake….

      🙂

  2. Hi Greig, I visited the Onaqui herd the end of May 2023. Shot with my newer Canon R7, 100-400 + extender. Didn’t use my Sony 7iii.
We (8) were out there for 4 days and I shot around 8k images. I love these wild horses, almost as much as the American Indian influences that have been a passion for me. I enjoyed discovering your website and looking at your images. I too still have my darkroom, packed away, from the late 70s, which I used for black and white while attending the Colorado Institute of Art. The old Nikon years. I hope you’ll add me to your email list as I keep searching for more wild herds to photograph. Thanks.
    Best, Betsy

    • Betsy,

So glad you found the Onaqui! It has been sometimes difficult to find them this winter but I will be posting some of my winter photographs later today!

      Sincerely, Greig
